Describing Essay Samples
Describing Essay SamplesWhen writing a descriptive essay, it is very important to remember that you have some leeway. One must learn to focus on the details, and write about the details. As a result, if your students find that their essay is overly detailed, it is time to break down their sample essay and break down the details one by one. There are two ways to approach teaching descriptive essay samples to grade 7 students. The first is to spend more time focusing on the details, and the second is to try to keep the text less detailed, so it flows easier. In either case, you will find that you end up with a better-written essay. The first thing you will want to do when you are focusing on the descriptive essay samples is to give more attention to the primary elements of your sample. That means you need to be sure to write the titles, tags, and summary all by themselves, without giving more information than is necessary. If you are in the midst of teaching a class, it may be wise to use a sentence or two from the previous section to provide the main point of the paragraph. For example, if you were teaching about seasonal flowers, you could write the sentence as follows:'Once autumn has begun to set in, the flowers begin to change.' You can also use an example. You can tell the story of an individual flower by using an example, as in the following example:'The fire lilies bloom in May, the cascades in June, and the butterflies in July.' Here you can see how the ideas in the previous paragraphs flow together nicely. If you were teaching about a unique dog, you could include one by explaining the characteristics of a bully or a laid back dog. When teaching a descriptive essay, it is very important to encourage students to write as much as possible, but not to go over their heads.
